Aquarian Teacher Training - Level 1 Course Content
The course is made up of 5 modules and a 5 day residential Ashram Experience held in Quinta do Rajo, Portugal, the HQ of the Karam Kriya School. The topics and content of each module are provided below.

Ashram Experience, 5 days Residential
A mandatory component of the level 1 training is the attendance of a 5 day residential in Quinta do Rajo, Portugal.
The experience will consist of plenty of yoga and meditation in particular, plus teaching of various topics, as listed above in course content, but with a very hands on approach so that attendees get to experience the teachings as they learn about them. Attendees will also be expected to take partake in karma yoga or seva - lending a helping hand with cooking, cleaning etc. important aspects of community living.
Open to all
In addition to enrolled trainees, the ashram experience is open to the general public and can in fact be a means through which prospective trainees can get a taste of the level 1 training before enrolling. It is also designed to be an experience where one can learn about holistic living and which one can just enjoy as a retreat from working life.

Important Note: Travel expenses to Portugal and accommodation for 6 nights and food for 5 days at Quinta do Rajo, Portugal for the Ashram Experience, are not included in the course fees so students will be expected to be able to pay for their own travel, food and accomondation.
The cost of the full course is 2.650 € (or 2.500 € Early Bird if paid till the 31st of August 2017).
What this covers:
The full cost of the course does NOT take into account the following list of expenses which the student is expected to be able and prepared to pay.
A non-returnable deposit of 550€ is required with your application to secure a place, to be received latest 4 weeks prior to the start of the course.

Full payment up front - There is also an Early Bird discount if full payment is received by latest 31st of August 2017.
There are no refunds for any payments ever made except in extenuating circumstances or if the course is postponed or cancelled.
There are no concrete requirements for entry, however, if the student has little or no experience of Kundalini Yoga then entry will be based on the recommendation of one of the course tutors.

While honouring a policy of non-discrimination on grounds of gender, sexual orientation, religion, age or ethnicity the Karam Kriya School reserves the right to refuse entry to any students on grounds of general unsuitability and to refuse continuation of the course as a consequence of inappropriate or discriminatory behaviour.
Students must satisfy certain criteria for certification on completion of the course, including:
Full payment of course fees by the 5th module
Students must attend all the teaching sessions including the full Ashram Experience. Exceptional or special circumstances may result in a student completing the course by attendance at future KY teacher training programmes. Attendance at a minimum of 5 sadhanas on the training days. Note: maximum length of training to receive certification is 2 years from the start date – which provides the opportunity to catch up on missed weekends in the first year and to complete course requirements.
White Tantric Yoga:
In addition to the course criteria described below, the student is required to attend or have attended at least one day of White Tantric Yoga (in any country).
Students must record attendance at a minimum of 20 KY classes during the training period, independent of Yoga on the course.
Pass a satisfactory grade in the written and the home exam.
The Course Manual and two chapters from “The Master’s Touch” by Yogi Bhajan.
On satisfaction of these criteria by the completion deadline the student will obtain the KRI Level I Kundalini Yoga Instructors Certificate for teaching Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. This course is approved by the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) and qualifies the teacher for registration as a member of the national Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (KYTA UK) and the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA), which include internet listings and other professional benefits.

Note: As we don't own our own training centre in Berlin this location is liable to change in the unlikely event of changes to our rental agreement leading to an untenable continuation at the present venue. In such circumstances trainees will be informed as soon as possible.
Before, during or, indeed in the worst case, after the course, some items of recommended reading for (potential) trainees are:
